    Job Overview

    MidCal Dredging Inc. is seeking a motivated Dredging Sales Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside industry leaders to bid and estimate projects in dredging, dewatering, and excavation. You will actively identify new project opportunities using online bidding platforms and perform site surveys to gather key project data. With the potential to work both remotely and in our office, you'll be contributing to the growth of our company while learning a unique trade.     Key Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with senior estimators to bid and estimate projects in dredging, dewatering, and excavation.
    • Research and identify potential projects through online bidding platforms.
    • Perform site surveys and gather data critical for project estimates.
    • Prepare and submit detailed bids, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners to foster business growth.
    • Assist in developing strategies to increase the number of successful bids and annual revenue.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, local regulations, and competitive practices.

    Qualifications
    • Prior experience in a similar role or field is preferred; however, training will be provided. 
    • Must have mathematical skills( converting cubic yards and cubic feet and gallons measurement)  
    • CAD design experience is a plus
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Basic knowledge of construction or industrial practices is a plus.
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments.
    • Proficient in using online bidding platforms and project management software.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Willingness to travel to project sites across California and occasionally out of state.

    Work Schedule and Location
    • Full-time, hybrid schedule:
      • Office: Riverdale, CA (training and occasional work).
      • Remote: Work from home for part of your responsibilities.
      • Onsite: Visit job sites for surveys and client interactions.
    • Travel: Occasional travel within California and neighboring states, fully covered by the company (per diem, hotel, and transportation).
