Job Overview:
Mission City Construction Inc. seeks a hands-on, experienced Construction Superintendent who will be an active participant in the building process. Our ideal candidate will not just oversee from afar but will directly engage with layouts, detailing, and providing practical, on-site leadership and solutions. As Superintendent, you'll coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and the entire team to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and meet our high standards of quality. This role is crucial in driving our projects to success while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on-site.
  • Perform and oversee precise layouts, including excavation, finish snapouts, and foundation/framing layout checks.
  • Enforce project compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Manage, schedule, and direct subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Track project progress and report updates to project managers regularly.
  • Conduct detailed site inspections, ensuring work meets quality and blueprint standards.
  • Resolve construction challenges and maintain seamless project execution.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, and schedule updates.
  • Produce and communicate weekly two-week outlook schedules in collaboration with Project Management.
  • Utilize Procore for managing RFIs, submittals, and other coordination tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or a similar role in residential and commercial construction.
  • Strong expertise in construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
  • Proficient in software tools like Procore, Microsoft Teams, Office, and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with cost control and budgeting principles.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce construction documents and blueprints.
  • Comprehensive knowledge to inspect and ensure trade work adheres to plans and quality benchmarks.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities with the capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license.
