As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a critical role in our finance department, requiring construction industry experience, an eye for accuracy, and strong job cost accounting skills.

 
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update all accounting records in QuickBooks Desktop on a weekly basis.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Work closely with the Controller to assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support payroll processing activities as needed.
  • Accurately match revenue and expenses to specific construction jobs, maintaining detailed job costing.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and vendor accounts.
  • Monitor and manage job draws (typically 5-15 per job), ensuring financial accuracy throughout projects that span 6 months to 3 years.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Help support year-end financial processes and CPA requests.
  • Potential for growth into controller position.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (construction or commercial real estate experience highly preferred).
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in job costing and construction project accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and general ledger accounting.
  • Familiarity with progress billing, lien waivers, and project draws is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors, internal team members, and management.
