Job Overview:

WilliamSmith Fireplaces of SC LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Manager (Fireplaces) to oversee the installation of fireplaces from rough-in to cap-out. This role requires strong coordination between sales representatives, installation crews, and on-site customer project managers to ensure smooth installations and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:

Job Understanding & Preparation
- Coordinate with Sales Representatives to understand job requirements
- Conduct initial site inspections in collaboration with on-site customer project managers
- Review installation manuals and codes for gas and wood-burning fireplaces
- Identify and correct errors or omissions in estimates
Job Site Readiness & Scheduling
- Ensure job site meets all pre-installation requirements
- Confirm clearances and coordinate installation schedules with customers, general contractors, or builders
- Schedule installation crews and ensure proper understanding of tasks
- Organize and stage installation materials for crew pick-up
- Conduct routine job site visits for long-term projects
Post-Installation Review & Follow-Up
- Review installation documentation, notes, and photos from install crews
- Conduct post-installation inspections as needed
- Identify follow-up actions and ensure completion
- Schedule any necessary additional work

Qualifications:

Ability to lift 50 lbs
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Prior construction experience required
Ability to read and comprehend installation and end-user manuals
National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certification is a plus

Technical & Supervisory Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft applications and iPad use
Willingness to learn internal operations system
Experience supervising and managing installation crews, including subcontractors
Ability to communicate effectively with both English & Spanish-speaking subcontractors
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
