Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install HVAC Systems: Read blueprints and technical diagrams to install HVAC systems according to design specifications and manufacturer's instructions.
- Able to work evenings, nights, some out of town.
- Communications: Able to communicate with fellow employees, customers through email, customer software, and/or project management.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking system pressure. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure HVAC systems and procedures adhere to laws, regulations, and standards. Check electrical wiring, thermostats, and distribution systems for any issues.
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service and maintain a professional rapport with clients. Advise clients on energy-saving measures and potential upgrades to their HVAC systems.
- Documentation: Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronically.
- Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC Installer/Technician in a commercial setting.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid HVAC technician license and EPA certification.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
