Full Job Description

CABS Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced and dedicated HVAC Install Lead to manage installation projects and guide a small team of installers. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring high-quality installations, maintaining customer satisfaction, and fostering a collaborative environment on the job site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leadership & Team Collaboration:
    • Lead a small team of HVAC installers, ensuring proper techniques and processes are followed.
    • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to installers to improve skills and efficiency.
    • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Project Oversight:
    • Execute hands-on installations, including ductwork, furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
    • Ensure all installations are completed to code, with a focus on quality and safety.
    • Communicate directly with homeowners to explain project details, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
  • Site Management:
    • Organize and prepare materials and tools for each job site.
    • Collaborate with the HVAC Install Supervisor to ensure timelines and priorities are met.
    • Monitor job site safety and enforce compliance with regulations.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners, ensuring a positive customer experience.
    • Walk customers through the completed work and provide basic operational instructions.
  • Documentation & Communication:
    • Report progress, challenges, and job completion to the Install Supervisor.
    • Maintain accurate job documentation and submit all paperwork promptly.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
    • Experience leading a small team or crew preferred.
  • Certification:
    • EPA certification required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and equipment.
    • Familiarity with Service Titan and Google Suite is a plus.
  • Communication & Leadership Skills:
    • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, homeowners, and supervisors.
    • Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and installing HVAC equipment.
