Light Electric Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician/Industrial Controls specializing in Industrial Controls to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician/Industrial Controls, you will be responsible for leading a team on-site, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex industrial electrical systems. This role requires a Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a focus on industrial controls and automation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians on-site, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
Installation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical control systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and company policies.
Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues in industrial control systems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Utilize testing equipment and tools to identify problems and verify the functionality of electrical components.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review project specifications, blueprints, and requirements.
- Plan and execute electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring resource allocation, material procurement, and quality control.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, inspection logs, and maintenance documentation.
- Communicate project status, issues, and progress to management and clients regularly.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

The ideal candidate should possess:

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a focus on industrial controls and automation
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Solid understanding of NEC standards and industrial safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
