    Full Job Description

    Platinum Restoration is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial records for a diverse portfolio of entities, including real estate properties and marinas. The ideal candidate will have extensive retail bookkeeping experience, proficiency with QuickBooks, and a proven ability to manage financial data across multiple entities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate financial operations while collaborating with our accounting firm to support tax preparation and financial reporting.

    Platinum Restoration is a locally owned contractor that specializes in insurance restoration projects, both commercial and residential. As an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, we service clients in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Huron, Erie, Medina and Summit counties, and offer complete restoration from emergency loss mitigation to total reconstruction. Our team of Project Manager, Field Supervisors and Subcontractors have over 20-years of experience in the insurance restoration industry, so we are the ideal choice for your residential or commercial restoration needs. 

     
     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Collect and enter bills for various entities, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
    • Experience with Paycheck payroll processing or similar payroll systems.
    • Create and manage check runs to ensure timely and efficient bill payments.
    • Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities.
    • Collaborate with the accounting firm by providing necessary documentation for tax returns and financial reporting.
    • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Generate and analyze financial reports as needed.

    The ideal candidate should possess:
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in bookkeeping, preferably in retail or multi-entity environments.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in QuickBooks (5 years required).
      • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Other Skills:
      • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting certifications or coursework is a plus.
