Job Overview
City Park Homes is actively seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager with proven experience in residential construction accounting and land development finance. Based in McKinney, Texas, this full-time, on-site role is pivotal to our growing organization. You'll handle end-to-end bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks and Hyphen Solutions BRIX, manage accounts payable/receivable, and provide detailed financial reporting. As our company expands, this role offers the opportunity to evolve into a Comptroller-level leadership position, contributing directly to the company's financial strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the COO with financial data management, ensuring GAAP compliance
• Oversee all A/P and A/R functions, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Perform journal entries and general ledger management
• Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
• Process invoices and construction payables weekly
• Generate financial reports and cash flow forecasts as needed
• Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping tasks with precision
• Handle office administration responsibilities when needed
• Act as point of contact for CPA firm regarding tax strategy and financial planning
• Hire, train, and lead a growing team of finance personnel as role evolves

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of bookkeeping and financial management experience, preferably in residential construction
• CPA credentials are beneficial
• Proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks (Desktop/Enterprise) and Hyphen Solutions BRIX is required
• Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry accuracy
• Strong leadership capabilities with potential for team development
• Ability to communicate effectively with executives and external auditors
