Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet directly with homeowners to assess their spaces, understand lifestyle needs, and capture design preferences.
  • Develop innovative and functional kitchen and bath layouts using industry-standard design software.
  • Create and present compelling design boards, mood boards, 3D renderings, and product selections.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field crews to ensure design feasibility, construction alignment, and cost efficiency.
  • Specify all materials and finishes, including cabinetry, countertops, lighting, fixtures, tile, flooring, and hardware.
  • Modify plans and selections based on client input, construction constraints, or vendor availability.
  • Maintain current knowledge of design trends, building codes, and product innovations.
  • Ensure timely completion of design deliverables, approvals, and material orders to keep projects on schedule.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience designing residential kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Proficiency in design software such as 2020 Design, Chief Architect, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong spatial planning skills and familiarity with construction processes and material installation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Degree or certification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • NKBA Certification or working toward certification.
  • Experience working within a design-build or residential remodeling company.
  • Familiarity with job site processes and collaboration with field construction teams.

  • Full-Time | Monday - Friday

Work Location:
  • Based in Van Wert, OH
  • Occasional travel to local project sites as needed
