Job Overview
BRIXCO Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our rapidly growing civil construction team. This role offers the opportunity to operate a wide range of heavy machinery to perform essential tasks in excavation, grading, and site preparation for diverse residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Safely and effectively operate heavy equipment, including:
  • Backhoe – digging, trenching, backfilling, and material handling.
  • Excavator – trenching, foundation digging, and precision grading.
  • Skid Steer – material moving, grading, and site clean-up.
  • Skip Loader – loading and transporting materials.
  • Compactor – compacting soil, gravel, and asphalt.
  • Bulldozer – land clearing, grading, and material spreading.
  • Scraper – soil cutting, filling, and site leveling.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes accurately.
• Execute work per project specifications and directions from supervisors or foremen.
• Strictly adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Assist with manual labor tasks as assigned to support the team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–4 years of heavy equipment operation experience in civil construction.
• Ability to read grade stakes and comprehend detailed site layouts.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent situational awareness.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
• Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Valid operator's license/certification for applicable machinery.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Schedule:
Full-time – Monday through Friday

Work Location:
Onsite – BRIXCO Construction, Inc., Bay Area, CA (projects throughout the region; local travel required)
