Job Overview:
Watson C&D LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Fleet Mechanic to support our landfill and recycling operations in Alachua County, FL. In this critical role, you'll maintain and repair a variety of fleet vehicles and construction equipment, including roll-off trucks and dump trucks. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment, including roll-off and dump trucks
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, transmission, and electrical systems
• Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance
• Replace or fabricate worn or defective parts as needed
• Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools to perform accurate repairs
• Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
• Respond to emergency or on-call repair needs when necessary

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic or in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems including hydraulics, transmissions, and suspensions
• Familiarity with construction and industrial equipment is highly preferred
• Must have own tools and a valid driver's license is (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in outdoor environments
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and the ability to pass DOT screening.
• Fleet Mechanic needed in Archer, FL, Monday-Friday; company provided housing during the workweek with travel home on weekends.

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time, Monday to Friday
• 40-50 hours per week
• On-call and occasional weekend work as required
