Job Overview
Pali Coast, LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our boutique outdoor design and build firm. Whether working remotely or in our Pacific Palisades office, this part-time role (10-20 hours per week) ensures our books are clean, our projects are costed accurately, and our financial reports are always reliable.

You'll work closely with our Operations & Compliance Manager and leadership team to track costs, manage payables/receivables, and deliver timely insights that keep our projects-and business-on solid financial ground. If you're a QuickBooks Online pro with a passion for precision and experience in job costing, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile company finances using QuickBooks Online
• Categorize and code business expenses for accurate recordkeeping
• Track job-specific costs and provide insights into project profitability
• Manage accounts receivable and payable; assist with invoice creation
• Reconcile company bank and credit card accounts regularly
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports (P&L, cash flow, etc.)
• Collaborate with external CPA for year-end tax filing
• Communicate with vendors regarding payments, invoices, and billing discrepancies

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction or design-related industries
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (certification preferred)
• Knowledge of job costing and construction-related financial tracking
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver accurate reports
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• High level of discretion when handling confidential financial information
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
