Job Overview:
Bens Contracting Center is seeking a proactive and tech-savvy IT Support Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our employees can seamlessly use hardware and software systems to complete their daily tasks. You'll provide front-line support, troubleshoot issues, and keep our IT infrastructure running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to IT support requests from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answer employee questions regarding computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems.
  • Adjust configurations, settings, and permissions to resolve computer issues.
  • Generate login credentials and set up accounts for new hires.
  • Install new software and hardware drivers and update existing systems as needed.
  • Keep employees informed of the status of their IT service requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT support tickets and update them as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth IT operations across the company.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Support network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, LAN and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Train end users on software application, policies and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with installing and configuring operating systems and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems.
  • Have some website experience and or ability to help research

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday
