Job Overview
FireDEX Butler Inc is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our restoration team. This is a 'working lead' role, where you'll not only perform hands-on carpentry but also supervise on-site crews through residential, commercial, industrial, and government restoration projects. The Lead Carpenter ensures work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with Estimators and Project Managers to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality carpentry on residential and commercial restoration projects.
  • Supervise job sites, coordinating labor, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret job estimates, blueprints, and specifications to plan projects effectively.
  • Track job progress, budgets, and material usage while managing jobsite documentation.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the company; ensure client satisfaction.
  • Support Estimators/Project Managers with planning, change orders, invoicing, and closeout procedures.
  • Communicate daily with teams and leadership to ensure workflow and safety compliance.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of carpentry experience
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, estimating basics, and restoration project scopes.
  • Strong supervisory, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead and work independently.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Schedule
Full-time, Monday to Friday. Overtime and travel may be required for certain projects. (rotating on-call team based schedule)

Work Location
Primarily based in Pennsylvania, with occasional travel for regional projects.
