ITR Systems, a leader in integrated commercial security technologies, is hiring experienced Low Voltage Technicians who specialize in access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV, and intercom systems. Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot:
  • Electronic Access Control (readers, strikes, maglocks, panels)
  • IP/CCTV Surveillance (cameras, NVRs, PoE switches)
  • Intrusion Detection (motion sensors, door contacts, alarm panels)
  • Intercom Systems (especially AiPhone and similar Ethernet-based units)
• Work with systems including: Honeywell, AiPhone, Securakey, and related platforms
• Read blueprints, riser diagrams, and technical schematics
• Use hand tools, testers, and smart devices to diagnose issues independently
• Accurately complete field service reports and maintain records
• Travel daily to job sites in company vehicle across assigned territory
• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial security system installations and service
• Proficient with Ethernet-based platforms (Cat5e/Cat6 termination, IP device setup)
• Demonstrated field experience with Honeywell, AiPhone, and Securakey systems
• Working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems
• IL PERC Card (or ability to obtain; company will pay for certification)
• Own basic hand tools and valid driver's license
• Able to lift 75 lbs and perform work on ladders or lifts
• Fluent in English; strong verbal and written communication skills
• US citizenship or permanent residency required; must pass background/drug screen

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with Openpath, Avigilon, Lenel, Milestone, or Axis systems
• Experience with sound/clock systems (Rauland, DuKane, Valcom)
• Fiber splicing or OTDR testing experience
• OSHA safety certifications (10/30 hour)

Schedule

• Full-time: Monday to Friday
• Some weekend work may be required based on project deadlines
