Alpha Design+Build, a leader in design-build construction and remodeling in Southern Michigan, is on the hunt for an entrepreneurial and experienced Construction Division Manager to head our growing residential construction division. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about custom, client-focused building. You'll oversee a team of designers, project managers, and field staff while managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of designers, project managers, and carpenters across multiple concurrent residential projects.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, quality, safety, and budget expectations from pre-construction through completion.
• Participate in business leadership as a member of the management team.
• Develop and implement process improvements, specifications, and project methodology.
• Create, review, and approve project scopes, estimates, and financial targets.
• Monitor and improve job cost performance across the division.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, jurisdictions, and clients.
• Coordinate scheduling, permitting, and materials procurement.
• Perform client walkthroughs, manage punch lists, and ensure satisfaction.
• Use Houzz or similar software for estimating, scheduling, communication, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of construction management and estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand building codes.
• Experience with Houzz or similar construction management software.
• Skilled in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and multi-project oversight.
• Technologically proficient (Google Workspace & Microsoft Office).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Work Schedule

• Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
• Occasional evenings/weekends or travel may be required to accommodate client needs.
