Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support our project management team in the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, eager to learn, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project Coordination
    • Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing multiple electrical construction projects.
    • Help track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables using project management tools and software.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure timely delivery of materials and labor.
    • Support project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages.
  • Field and Office Communication
    • Serve as a liaison between the field crews and office staff to maintain alignment on project status and needs.
    • Attend job site meetings and assist in communicating updates and issues to the project team.
    • Help resolve day-to-day project issues, including scope clarifications, design conflicts, and resource allocation.
  • Material & Procurement Support
    • Assist with material take-offs from drawings and specifications.
    • Order and track materials and equipment to support construction schedules.
    • Ensure that materials are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
  • Manpower & Labor Tracking
    • Help manage manpower schedules and coordinate labor assignments across job sites.
    • Support daily/weekly labor reports and timesheet verification in coordination with foremen and field supervisors.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Assist in ensuring projects are compliant with electrical codes, OSHA standards, and internal safety procedures.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, permits, and job site conditions.

Qualifications:
  • Experience
    • 1-3 years of experience in the electrical or general construction industry preferred.
    • Hands-on field experience or previous support roles with electrical contractors is a strong advantage.
  • Skills & Attributes
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to visit and walk construction job sites.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift materials or equipment up to 25 lbs.

Full-time | Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:15 PM
