Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, and rollers.
• Support civil construction work including excavation, trenching, grading, and utility installation.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Follow directions from Foremen and Superintendents to complete tasks on schedule.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials and setting up job sites as needed.
• Use grade stakes, laser levels, and GPS equipment (training provided if needed).
• Ensure job site safety standards and procedures are followed at all times.
• Adapt to varied job duties and travel assignments based on project demands.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience operating civil construction equipment (we will train the right person with similar background).
• Knowledge of safe operation practices for heavy machinery.
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience on commercial, industrial, or federally funded construction projects.
• Familiarity with OSHA and site safety protocols.
• Ability to read basic site plans or grade markings.
• CDL not required, but a plus.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• 8-10 hour shifts depending on project
• Travel projects may require extended hours
