Job Overview:
J&D Landscapes LLC is seeking a highly skilled Landscape Construction Crew Leader who is passionate about craftsmanship, leadership, and transforming outdoor spaces. In this role, you'll oversee a dynamic crew and lead the construction of high-end residential landscapes including patios, walkways, retaining walls, landscape beds, plantings, outdoor lighting, and more. We're searching for a hands-on professional who can manage job sites with confidence, uphold safety standards, and deliver quality that exceeds expectations. Key Responsibilities:

• Crew Leadership:
  • Assign tasks and oversee team performance
  • Train and mentor crew members
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain site discipline
• Project Execution:
  • Interpret and execute plans and blueprints
  • Manage material deliveries and on-site inventories
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate timesheets, job records, and progress updates
• Technical Operations:
  • Operate skid steers, excavators, laser transit, and power tools
  • Perform planting, grading, and hardscape installations
  • Install drainage systems and low-voltage outdoor lighting
• Quality & Safety Control:
  • Conduct regular quality inspections
  • Keep worksite clean and compliant
  • Lead daily safety meetings and enforce safety checks
• Administrative:
  • Submit daily reports and project documentation
  • Track project costs and timelines
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in landscape construction
  • Minimum 2 years in a crew leadership role
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficient with hardscapes, planting, equipment operation
  • Understanding of drainage and lighting systems
• Leadership & Communication:
  • Ability to motivate, delegate, and guide a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Equipment Proficiency:
  • Skilled with laser levels, skid steers, saws, hand tools
  • Must be able to drive and back up a truck and trailer
• Other:
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Spanish-speaking skills helpful but not required
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Schedule:

• Full-Time | Year-Round Work
• Monday to Friday
• 8-10 Hour Shifts (Day Shift)
• Overtime & Some Weekends as Needed
• No Nights

On-Site in Newbury, OH and surrounding areas
