Job Overview:
Fairbank Construction Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven FSS General Manager to lead its Fairbank Special Services (FSS) division-a crucial branch focused on small residential projects and remodels. This role is essential to scaling revenue through operational excellence, exceptional client service, and sharp sales and estimating strategies. Acting like the President of their own company, the FSS General Manager will drive team performance, uphold Fairbank's legacy of quality, and ensure smooth coordination from sales through final execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the FSS division as the central figure in sales, estimating, and team coordination.
  • Oversee and grow revenue through operational efficiency and exceptional service delivery.
  • Generate and close estimates for residential small projects and remodels.
  • Develop budgets, schedules, and construction strategies in collaboration with Construction Managers.
  • Prepare RFPs, evaluate bids, and manage subcontractor selection.
  • Handle all subcontract and purchase order negotiations, writing, and approvals.
  • Ensure seamless execution through submittals, shop drawings, and project follow-ups.
  • Conduct post-construction reviews and foster long-term client and architect relationships.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in residential remodel, home repair, and maintenance.
  • Proven sales success and hands-on estimating experience in construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent field experience.
  • Proficiency in architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Advanced MS Word and Excel skills; Procore experience or willingness to learn.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
