Job Overview:

Hickory Plumbing and Heating Company Inc is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to oversee commercial, institutional, and industrial plumbing projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, materials, and personnel while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in plumbing project management and a strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee commercial, industrial, and government plumbing projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and field personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor budgets, track expenses, and control costs to meet financial objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor project teams, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Source, order, and manage materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and industry safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any plumbing system challenges that arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications:
  • Plumbing experience is an absolute must - candidates without plumbing experience will not be considered.
  • Prior experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional plumbing project management.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA, Fall Protection, and Lift certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
