Job Overview

Instant Chimney is seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role focuses on outbound calls, including cold and warm reach-outs, following up on pending estimates, and upselling to existing customers. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to manage and update the sales pipeline using our CRM system. This position offers an hourly base pay plus commission, with opportunities for additional performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate new business.
  • Handle cold calls and warm leads, introducing our services and building customer relationships.
  • Follow up on pending estimates and proposals to close deals.
  • Upsell and cross-sell services to existing customers by identifying additional needs.
  • Maintain and manage the sales pipeline using our CRM system (Slack and Workiz).
  • Keep detailed and accurate notes on customer interactions, updating the CRM regularly.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries, qualifying leads to determine sales potential.
  • Schedule and confirm sales appointments, ensuring customers are well-informed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to confidently address customer questions.
  • Collaborate with the field team to coordinate appointments and service delivery.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer trends, objections, and competitor activity.
  • Participate in team huddles and strategy meetings to improve sales processes.
  • Assist with customer service issues related to sales, ensuring satisfaction and resolving complaints.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes and increase conversion rates.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inside sales or telemarketing, preferably in home services or construction-related industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience using CRM software (Slack and Workiz preferred).
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a drive to exceed targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, handling customer objections professionally.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
