Job Overview

Ground Level Construction Inc (GLC) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Federal Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. This critical role requires an expert in planning, controlling, and executing commercial and federal construction projects to ensure success in budget, quality, and schedule commitments. As a Project Manager - Government/Civil Construction, you will blend leadership and technical expertise to mentor your team, deliver results, and build long-lasting client relationships on unique and innovative projects for clients such as the Department of Energy, VA, UC, and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the bid process, manage detailed instructions for bidders, and address risk mitigation.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, buyout processes, and contract execution.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scheduling, procurement, budgeting, cost management, quality control, and project closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with permits, inspections, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to resolve field challenges and optimize team efficiency.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Drive client management and ensure transparency through meetings, site walks, and progress reports.
  • Mentor project team members and support their professional growth.
  • Promote and enforce GLC's safety culture and practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in technical construction projects such as federal work, bio-labs, data centers, healthcare, or other complex projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/P-6, and Vista software.
  • Strong understanding of building permits, safety practices, and construction trades, including MEP.
  • Proven ability to create detailed schedules and manage customer-focused project delivery.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a builder's mindset.

Work Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional additional/off hour work may be required based on specific project demands.
