    Rayco Exteriors is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Carpenter/Framer to join our team. The candidate we seek will possess expertise in general construction, framing and carpentry. Masonry/stucco repair, waterproofing, and painting experience are a plus.     Our Carpenter/Framer works in collaboration with our Superintendents, Project Managers, Director of Operations, and Support Staff. You will be responsible for performing the trades listed above in a skilled, efficient, and quality manner. We take pride in our workmanship.

     
     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • On-site and ready to work by 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. From time to time, overtime opportunities may be available as job(s) require.
    • Self-performing framing and carpentry repairs in an efficient, cost-effective manner with quality of work as the top priority.
    • Sourcing and purchasing materials needed for job-specific repairs.
    • Photo documenting needed repairs and reporting job status updates to the supervisor.
    • Providing your own tools and transportation.
    • Monitoring day-to-day job site safety, security, and cleanliness.
    • Reporting to the Project Superintendent/Manager any discoveries outside of the scope of work (damages, rot, change orders).
    • Reporting any issues, delays, accidents, or other incidents to the Superintendent/Project Manager.
    • Reporting any emergencies or requests from clients to the Superintendent/Project Manager.

    The ideal candidate should possess the following skills/experience:
    • 5-7 years of hands-on construction experience, including framing and general carpentry, preferably in multi-family dwelling reconstruction.
    • Highly knowledgeable in framing and carpentry construction trades, practices, regulations, and safety compliance.
    • Proven hands-on framing experience with an excellent understanding of structural carpentry techniques, materials, and methods of installation and construction.
    • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, levels, rulers, etc.).
    • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
    • Able to read, interpret, and comprehend architectural/engineered drawings, plans, and other technical documents.
    • Good understanding of basic math.
    • Preferably bilingual but not required (English/Spanish).
    • Maintains a personable, approachable, friendly demeanor with all associates, clients, and colleagues.
    • Maintains a clean, professional personal appearance.
    • Very responsive and able to multi-task or make changes based on the day-to-day needs of the project.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking ability.
    • Reliable transportation and a clean driving background.

    Experience:
    • Framing & Carpentry: 2 years (Preferred)
    • Construction Experience: 2 years (Preferred)

    License/Certification:
    • Driver's License (Preferred)
