Key Responsibilities
  • Crew Supervision & Scheduling:
    • Supervise and maintain adequate crew staffing for each job site/project.
    • Schedule and coordinate activities for all personnel to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Safety Oversight:
    • Conduct weekly 'Toolbox' and project safety meetings.
    • Perform random/unannounced inspections to ensure compliance with DOT laws, regulations, and HSE policies.
    • Oversee the safety of all project sites, the yard, and other work areas to comply with OSHA safety standards.
  • Project Management:
    • Monitor project milestones to ensure they are met within budget and quality standards.
    • Maintain required project documentation, including utility locates for underground utilities or hazards.
  • Procurement & Logistics:
    • Review purchase orders and negotiate prices for equipment and materials.
    • Schedule and oversee the routing and delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Fleet & Equipment Management:
    • Schedule and oversee repairs of company-owned equipment, vehicles, and fleet assets, prioritizing based on critical needs.
  • HSE & PPE Inventory:
    • Issue and maintain PPE inventory and coordinate replenishment of HSE equipment.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role in construction or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills to liaise effectively with employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Experience in coordinating the repair and maintenance of equipment and fleet assets.
  • Strong negotiation skills for procuring materials and equipment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed project documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
